2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information when you use JumpSeat:
- Account information: Your name, airline email address, airline name, role, and password.
- Profile information: Your bio, base city, profile photo, and interest tags.
- Content you create: Posts, comments, photos, city guides, and any other content you share on the platform.
- Location data: City check-ins you voluntarily add (e.g. "Who's In Town" feature). We do not track your location automatically.
- Usage data: How you interact with the app — pages visited, features used, time spent. This is collected in aggregate and anonymised form.
- Device information: Device type, operating system, and app version for troubleshooting purposes.
- Communications: If you contact us by email, we keep a record of that correspondence.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Create and manage your account and profile.
- Display your posts, guides and activity to other crew members.
- Show you relevant crew deals and city guides based on your location or layover history.
- Send you service notifications (account updates, deal alerts if opted in).
- Verify your cabin crew status using your airline email address.
- Improve and develop the platform using anonymised, aggregated usage data.
- Respond to your support requests and enquiries.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising targeting.
4. Direct Messages
Messages you send through JumpSeat are delivered to the recipient and stored so your conversation history is available to both participants. Messages are private to the two people in a conversation and are not visible to other members. Deleting your account permanently deletes your messages.
5. Sharing Your Information
We may share your information with:
- Other JumpSeat members: Your profile, posts and content are visible to verified crew members on the platform.
- Service providers: Trusted third parties who help us operate the platform (e.g. cloud hosting, email delivery, analytics). These providers are contractually bound to handle your data securely.
- Legal authorities: Where required by law or to protect the safety of our users and platform.
We never sell your data. We never share your data for advertising purposes.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

JumpSeat is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
